What? Darcy saw a movie in an actual theater? Stop the presses.
Went to see this movie today with a friend. It was cute. Is it wrong that my biggest takeaway from the movie was wanting to tell Charlyne Yi to run a comb through her hair? Because that was my strongest reaction.
I would say that others might do well to see this movie the way I did, knowing absolutely nothing about it. I think it would be better that way. I just read a couple little things on the internet since getting home, and they didn’t amplify my experience in any way. If anything, they diminished it.
I thought the film was well done. I liked the way they did the flashback sequences, but I also could definitely have waited for the video.
Michael Cera is just the perfect little scoop of cute. The movie’s worth seeing just for him, maybe even worth seeing sooner, maybe even if that means going to a theater that smells a little like a cat box and where people are idiots and don’t turn off their cell phones. Maybe.
